Welcome to Llwyncrwn Primary School

Dosbarth Birch- Mr Jones

Sports Day(s): throwing for distance and accuracy - we tried out a variety of activities including javelin, shot put and discus.

Sports Day(s): sack race

We all took turns in the sack race. It was hard work to keep going. Great resilience shown!

Everyone had the chance to take part in the egg and spoon race. It was lots of fun!

Sports Day(s) - Mile a Day: most days, we take 15 minutes to run or walk a few laps of the yard. Most of us cover a mile in that time!

International Week: France

Frère Jacques

We learned this traditional French song and sang it as a round. It was hard to keep to our own part, but we got there in the end. Très bien!

Our lovely stationery hampers. Who will win one of these at our Christmas party?

We created ‘monsters’ and compared them to identify similarities and differences. Then we talked in pairs to find out more about each other. We found that we had lots of things in common, and lots of things that make us different.

Introducing Mile a Day on Outdoor Classroom Day

Welcome to our Class Page

The class has settled in to the Juniors really well, and we are all getting used to new ways of working.

PE Days for the class will be Monday and Wednesday.  Please make sure your child comes to school appropriately dressed for PE on these days (i.e. jogging bottoms and trainers, t-shirt).

We are encouraged by Welsh Government to maximise outdoor learning at this time, so you may wish to send in a pair of 'wellies' or outdoor shoes that your child can wear outside.  A coat will be needed on colder days.

Home Learning - Summer Term

Welcome back!  I hope you have all had a good Easter break.

Please remember to log in to our Google Classroom to find ideas for learning at home.  I will update this regularly, so check in and see what's new!

As you know, there are lots of great games to play online that support learning.  Have a look at Topmarks or log in to Sumdog

Most importantly of all, stay safe and well.  Do what you can to be helpful at home.

I miss you all, and look forward to the day when we can all be together again at Llwyncrwn.

Our trip to Saint Fagans
