The Criw Cymraeg are responsible for encouraging the use of the Welsh language throughout the school in addition to promoting a positive Welsh ethos. All of their hard work will go towards helping us achieve the Cymraeg Campus language charter silver award, which they are very excited about.

Dwlu Darllen 2023
We are extremely proud of achieving second place in this year’s Dwlu Darllen competition. The team consisted of 5 members from our Criw Cymraeg Blwyddyn 6 who presented a group discussion on two Welsh books read in class, and also gave their opinions on favourite books and authors. Bendigedig!!!
These fabulous Year 6 members presented a bilingual pitch to the “Dragon’s Den” at CSC. Da iawn chi!
Hwyl Yr Hydref 2022
Our Criw Cymraeg are currently busy organising activities for our Hwyl yr Hydref festival. We look forward to meeting the Criw Cymraeg from our cluster schools, who are going to join us for a morning of Hwyl Cymraeg on 23/09/22. 🏴🏴😀😀🏴🏴
Diwrnod Bendigedig Hwyl Yr Hydref.
We had a fabulous morning hosting this event. The Criw Cymraeg worked exceptionally hard to make resources and supervise each activity. All of our cluster schools thoroughly enjoyed themselves.

Learning Walk September 17th 2021
Our Criw accompanied Miss Hughes on a learning walk today to identify any areas or displays in our school where we can improve our Welsh labelling / use of the Welsh language. They are now going to be very busy making posters and labels to encourage our children to read and use the Welsh language. Da iawn Criw Cymraeg, you truly are an enthusiastic bunch! Plant bendigedig!
Diwrnod Shwmae!
We are currently busy planning activities for each class for Diwrnod Shwmae. Diwrnod Shwmae is celebrated every year on October 15th. The aim of Diwrnod Shwmae is to encourage people to start every conversation in Welsh. Watch this space for pics of our day at Llwyncrwn! We can't wait - Hwyl a sbri yn siarad Cymraeg yn yr ysgol

Diwrnod Shwmae!
Diolch Criw Cymraeg for arranging and organising a day of fun activities for our school to celebrate Diwrnod Shwmae. We’ve had games, art, posters and hat making activities going on in classrooms, and your Welshcakes were the highlight of the day. BLASUS IAWN!!! Well done for making a profit of £55, which you’ve decided to spend on buying Welsh games for our classrooms. Diolch yn fawr. ❤️🏴❤️

The Criw Cymraeg lead our Welsh assemblies and introduce the phrase of the week.
They also have the very important job of presenting a certificate to a member of their class who is “Siaradwr Yr Wythnos” (Welsh speaker of the week).
